This is a newsletter about the everyday. It shares thoughts that are hard to talk about, but foundational to our daily physical, mental, and emotional health—the things that make us human. Things like Are my goals actually making me happy?; How can I set better boundaries?; Is there a way to change my relationship with finances? How can I show up as a committed friend?. I write this newsletter to help open the door to those conversations, either with yourself, or with those around you.
Unabridged Ro is authentic and vulnerable. I share big and small moments I experience in my life—at work, at home, and with friends—and use principles from design thinking and psychology to try and make sense of it all.
Unabridged Ro is written by Rohini Venkatraman (that’s me). Perpetually in search of a good story, I live for big unsolved problems, well-designed experiences, and psychological explorations. I am a design strategist and product manager by profession. I am also a runner, bread-baker, introvert, punner, and so many other things. I have a degree in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Writing has always been my favorite way of expressing myself. I believe my life’s purpose is to create and share good writing. Simple as that. You can read more of my writing on my Personal Blog (now dormant), Medium, Twitter, or your Kindle. All my writing expresses my personal views.
